Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Faithful God, in Jesus Christ you came to us as a little child to lead us to your eternal realm of goodness and peace. Help us to receive your promise with childlike joy! Let us be your light! You call us to seek good and not evil, but we trample the poor, oppress the weak, and push aside the needy. Restore us, we pray, and make us whole. Help us to share what we have, and to shout out your good news by word and deed, so that all may find welcome in the love of Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen. |
||
Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Christine Lutke |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | Joy to the World | Congregation |
God of our salvation, how wonderful are those who bring good news and announce your peace. By the power of your Holy Spirit, help us to hear and believe your word, and to share this good news: peace on earth and good will to all, through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
We believe we are here in Palm Springs to “proclaim the Good News of God by reaching out to others and inviting them into a new relationship with Jesus Christ. We commit ourselves, therefore, to be a center for spiritual growth and friendship, where the teachings of Jesus Christ are faithfully received and God’s grace is celebrated joyfully with Christian friends.” This we affirm in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. |
