Pre-worship Music | The Old Rugged Cross | Praise Band |
ONE: May the peace of Christ be with you. ALL: And also with you. |
||
Gathering Song | God Welcomes All | Hymn #399 |
One: Let us always speak well of the Sovereign. All: Let words of praise fill our mouths at all times. One: Let us brag about God with every fiber of our being. All: So that those who are hurting might hear us and come to share in our joy. One: Together, let us shout glory to God! All: Let us shine God's light into every corner of the world! |
||
Welcoming | My Peace | Rev. Ron Duvall |
One: The steadfast love of the Sovereign never ceases, for God's mercies are new every morning; they endure, ever faithful, ever sure. With this assurance, let us confess together. All: Holy One, we give thanks that your faithfulness is, truly, ever sure. And yet, we know that our faithfulness toward you is not so constant. You call us to abide in you - to settle into you, to remain with you - but we are pulled in so many directions that we often find it hard to "stick around." Forgive us, we pray, for returning your love so sparingly. May we remember that our lack of faithfulness does not negate your grace toward us. Draw us nearer to you and to each other, for your glory and our joy. May it be so. |
||
Life of the Church | I'd Rather Have Jesus | Dirk Voerman |
One: God, who is rich in mercy ... made us alive together with Christ. All: "For by grace (we) have been saved through faith, and this is not (our) own doing; it is the gift of God." |
||
Passing of the Peace | Let Us with a Gladsome Mind | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | To God Be the Glory | Praise Band |
All: God of grace, as we listen for your word, soften our hearts and make our spirits willing. Give us the courage to live faithfully the word presented to us today - may it be planted deep and bear much fruit in our lives. Amen |
