Good morning, Palm Springs Presbyterian Church Members and Friends! Welcome to All!! Today is the first Sunday of Advent, and as you can see our alter is beautifully decorated with holiday poinsettias. A big thank you goes out to Pauline Gregg for ensuring we had the poinsettias for the start of our holiday season. Please do not forget, if you would like to donate $10 for a poinsettia in dedication of loved ones you may do so during the next few weeks. We also would like to extend a big thank you to the members that were here for our Congregational Meeting last Sunday. Unfortunately, as you know we did not achieve quorum, so the meeting could not be held. Your Session will be meeting soon to determine the rescheduled date for the Meeting, at which time it will be announced again well in advance. Please come help us decorate our church for the holidays on Wednesday, Dec 1st at 10:00 AM. We will put you to work, BUT you will be rewarded with refreshments. And lastly, a reminder to sign up for our December Church Luncheon on Thursday, Dec 2nd, at Billy Reed |

Life of the Church | O Come, O Come, Emmanuel | Karen Roseberry |
ONE: The new season is dawning. An air of anticipation challenges us to fresh beginnings. Are we weighed down by the cares of life? This is a time to rid ourselves of our old ways and embrace the newness that Christ offers. Let us confess our sins before God: ALL: Holy God of promises and possibilities, we admit that we often see the world according to our own limited vision. You have called us to be a global family, but we often decide whom we include. You have created all people in your image, but we see you as being more like us than you are like others. For these and every way we sin against you, we ask your forgiveness. |

Passing of the Peace | Come Now, O Prince of Peace | Congregarion |
ONE: The mercy of God |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Lighting of the Advent Candle | Hear Our Prayer, O Lord | Christine and Steve Lutke |
