Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Blessed is this day, O Lord, from the rising of the sun through the gift of every hour. We understand and give thanks for our many blessings, and the power of your love that conquers and protects. Because of you we need not be afraid, and can know that every person is our brother and sister, just as we are in your image. Forgive our moments of ignorance, when we turn away from the stranger because we fear the unknown. Create in us hearts of curiosity and trust, that we may experience the wonder and opportunity of your world. Use our hands to reach out for the stranger who needs our help, our love, a shelter, a new beginning. Forgive our nonchalance at the pain of others, and reveal in its place a person, a nation, a world, of Love. We ask in the name of Jesus, the Christ, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Jeff Morgan |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | To God Be the Glory | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen |
