Welcoming/Preparing to Meet with God | My Peace | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Our hearts are raised in praise to you, O God! You have brought us the gift of reconciliation, and through Christ spoke peace to a sinful world. Because of your sacrifice we are blessed beyond measure, and can live with confidence. Help us to follow your example, and forgive our selfish ways. Lead us into actions of faith and charity, and away from isolation. Give us one voice, to raise your name for all the world to hear, so that all may have hope. We ask in Jesus’ name, Amen. |
||
Life of the Church/Announcements | Amazing Grace | Elder Ruth Hunter |
Hear the good news! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know that you are forgiven, and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | “To God Be the Glory” | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | “Gloria Patri” | Bell Choir |
God, source of all light, by your Word you give light to the soul. Pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that, through the Scriptures, our hearts and minds may be opened to know your will in our lives. Amen. |
