Welcoming/Preparing to Meet with God | “My Peace” (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
We stand before you, O God, in awe and wonder. We begin the walk to the Cross humbled by your love for us, and filled with the hope to come. The assurance of your presence in our lives sustains our faith and gives us strength. We give thanks, dear Lord. Yet even as we begin our journey, too often we focus on ourselves, and stray from the Cross. We keep to our old ways, and fall to sin. Take our hand, we pray, and lift our eyes to you. Help us to surrender to your will, so that we may live as we are loved, as your Easter people. We ask in Jesus’ name, Amen. |

Life of the Church/Announcements | Special Music | Elder Bob Wulf |
Hear the good news! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know that you are forgiven, and be at peace. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | In the Cross of Christ I Glory | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | “Gloria Patri” | Praise Band |
God, source of all light, by your Word you give light to the soul. Pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that, through the Scriptures, our hearts and minds may be opened to know your will in our lives. Amen. |
