ONE: May the peace of Christ be with you.
ALL: And also with you.

One: The Lord is gracious,
All: slow to anger and abounding in mercy.
One: The love of the Lord is steadfast.
All: The Lord is good to all!

One: We come before God not as despised sinners, but as beloved children. With the confidence of the children of God, let us humbly confess our sin.
All: Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry, too real to hide and too deep to undo. Forgive what are lips tremble to name, what our hearts can no longer bear, and what has become for us a consuming fire of judgement. Set us free from a past that we cannot change; open to us a future in which we can be changed; grant us grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image; through Jesus Christ, the light of the world.

One: Do not fear says the Lord, for I have redeemed you and called you by name; you are mine.
All: God is doing a new thing; now it springs forth! By the grace of Jesus Christ we are forgiven! Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

All: Loving God, fountain of blessing, open us to your life giving word, and fill us with your Holy Spirit so that living water may flow through our hearts - a spring of hope for a thirsty world; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
